Health is Wealth Initiative (HIWI Uganda), together with St. Joseph’s Hospital Wakiso, conducts joint community outreaches offering free HIV Counseling and Testing (HCT) services across Wakiso District. Since both institutions operate from the same premises, coordination is smooth, allowing teams to plan, mobilize, and deliver services efficiently. During these outreaches, HIWI leads advocacy, community sensitization, and health education, while St. Joseph’s Hospital provides clinical expertise, testing services, and follow-up care for clients who need further support. The partnership enables residents to access accurate information, confidential testing, and immediate linkage to treatment where necessary. Through these combined efforts, HIWI and St. Joseph’s Hospital Wakiso continue to strengthen community health, promote early detection, and reduce HIV-related stigma in Wakiso.
